Finger Slayer is a bloody, nerve-wracking game of chicken for iPhone.

The aim of Finger Slayer is simple – put your finger in the on-screen guillotine and leave it there for as long as you dare before the blade slices down. The longer you wait for the blade to fall, logically, the higher your points.

To play Finger Slayer, you simply place your finger in the on-screen circle. The app counts you down, and then it’s up to your nerves to hold on for as long as you can. The game music is funny, and it also allows you to post your victories – and defeats – on Facebook and Twitter.

Although Finger Slayer is a slick, funny concept, the reality is pretty boring. Sure, holding out for as long as you can is fun once or twice, but it loses its appeal really, really quickly. That said, it’s free, so by all means try it out - just don’t expect it to blow your mind!
